Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world.

Enthusiastic secondary reading and English teacher providing creative lessons and engaging classroom instruction to promote the goals of literacy, critical-thinking, problem solving, meaningful technology integration, collaboration skills and applications to everyday life for all students.
WHO IS MRS. LYNCH? Currently, I am an eighth grade reading teacher. I have been teaching for fifteen years in middle and high schools, and I absolutely love what I do! I enjoy building relationships with students as we challenge ourselves to think actively as we turn the page, make sense of it, and deliberately synthesize our understanding through the graphite in our pencils. When I'm not teaching, I can be found cooking unique recipes in my kitchen, putting my nose in a good book, running obnoxiously long distances, walking my dog Minnie, or trying desperately not to eat the last of the chips and salsa (my weakness). |
ENGLISH 7-12 CERTIFIED
Although my original plan was to teach middle school, a 12th grade position in Lancaster, PA changed my mind by allowing me to experience older students' curiosity and desire to learn. Since then, I've gained many experiences in both the middle school and the high school settings. |
READING SPECIALIST
Development of reading skills is critical for every student. I hold a Masters of Literacy degree (with Reading Specialist certification). My teaching has been wonderfully transformed to meet each student where they are to help each grow through several literacy practices: workshop model, independent reading program, and reading data to inform instruction. |
